About Herbs For Animals

Herbal nutrition designed to respect how animals’ bodies really work

Our Approach

Herbs For Animals was built on a simple belief: the body is designed with an incredible capacity to maintain balance when it has the right support. Our goal is to provide carefully selected herbal-based nutritional products for horses, dogs, and cats that work with the body’s normal functions rather than chasing quick fixes.

We partner with VetCur, a Danish company known for thoughtful formulation, ingredient traceability, and deep respect for animal physiology. Founder Rebekka Gadeberg brings a background in biology, herbalism, and pharmacy-informed thinking that shapes how these products are developed.

We chose these products because they reflect the standards we believe matter most: high-quality ingredients, careful formulation, batch accountability, and an approach centered on long-term wellness. Herbs For Animals is for people who want to understand what they are giving their animals, why quality matters, and how thoughtful nutritional support fits into everyday care.

The VetCur Difference

Herbs For Animals is the U.S. distributor for VetCur Biotec, a Danish company known for carefully formulated herbal-based supplements for horses, dogs, and cats. Each formula is developed with species-specific needs in mind and produced in controlled conditions in Denmark.

What sets these products apart is not trend-driven marketing, but the standard behind them: human-grade ingredients, thoughtful formulation, batch-tracked production, and a deep respect for how the animal body is designed to function. Many of the plant ingredients are sourced from growers who use organic practices, and each product reflects a level of care that is increasingly rare in a crowded supplement market.

We chose VetCur because these formulations align with what we value most—quality without shortcuts, nutritional support with purpose, and products that fit into a long-term wellness approach. This is for the customer who wants to know not

Grounded in Experience

Herbs For Animals is built by people who live with animals, work with them daily, and understand the standard of care serious owners are trying to provide. As lifelong equestrians with a background in dressage and biomechanics, we approach animal wellness through the lens of function, management, and long-term soundness.

That perspective shapes the way we recommend products and educate customers. We understand that nutrition does not exist in isolation—it works alongside training, environment, stress, recovery, and overall management. Our goal is to help owners make thoughtful choices that support the animal as a whole.

Through Herbs For Animals and Paradigm Dressage, we want to offer something rare: practical guidance, high standards, and products we genuinely believe in. We are here to serve people who value trust, depth, and a more considered approach to caring for horses, dogs, and cats.

Feeding your animals well is about more than calories or convenience—it’s about supporting their natural resilience and honoring the role they play in your life. At Herbs For Animals, we believe thoughtful nutrition is one of the ways we can care for them in return.

Our Partnership with VetCur

Herbs For Animals exists because of our partnership with VetCur Biotec in Denmark. VetCur develops and produces the herbal‑based supplements we offer, and we focus on education and distribution for horses, dogs, and cats in the United States.

VetCur is led by founder Rebekka Gadeberg, whose background in biology, herbalism, and pharmacy‑informed thinking shapes how each formula is designed. Visiting VetCur in person and seeing the care that goes into ingredient selection, production, and quality control confirmed that this was the standard we wanted to bring to our customers.

This collaboration allows us to combine VetCur’s scientific and formulation expertise with our day‑to‑day experience in the equestrian and animal world, so we can support owners who are looking for thoughtful, long‑term solutions.

We’ve known Rebekka and used VetCur products with our own animals for more than 14 years. For a period, VetCur products were not available in the United States due to changes in regulations and personal circumstances within the company. When the time was right to return, we stepped in to help bring VetCur back to the U.S. market in a way that reflects the same standards and care that have always been at the heart of the brand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of animals are Herbs For Animals products for?

Our products are formulated for horses, dogs, and cats. They are designed with species-specific needs in mind, so we always recommend choosing products labelled for your animal and following the feeding directions on each label.

Are your supplements herbal or natural?

VetCur formulations are built around herbs and nutritional ingredients, with an emphasis on plant-based support and human-grade quality standards. Our focus is on thoughtfully sourced ingredients and formulas that respect how the body is designed to function.

Do your products replace veterinary care or medication?

No. Our supplements are intended to support normal, healthy function and to sit alongside good veterinary care, appropriate diagnosis, and any medications your veterinarian prescribes. We always encourage you to work with your veterinarian, especially for ongoing or complex issues.

How long does it usually take to notice changes?

Every animal is different, and the timeline depends on factors like diet, workload, management, and overall health. Some owners report noticing changes within a few weeks, while for others it may take longer. We generally recommend allowing at least one full feeding cycle of the product and making changes one step at a time so you can better observe what is helping.

Can I use your supplements with other products or medications?

Many customers use our products alongside other feeds, supplements, or medications. However, because individual situations can be complex, we recommend discussing any new supplement with your veterinarian, especially if your animal is on prescription medication or has a known condition.

What makes your products more expensive than some other supplements?

Several factors contribute to the price: human-grade ingredients, careful formulation, batch-tracked production in Denmark, and the smaller-scale way VetCur manufactures its products. We choose this approach because we believe traceability, quality, and thoughtful formulation are worth investing in.

Where should I start if I am new to Herbs For Animals?

A good first step is to think about your animal’s biggest day-to-day challenge, such as digestive sensitivity, nervous system balance, or overall resilience. Our product pages and protocols are designed to help you identify which kind of nutritional support may be the best fit.
